Handcrafted Chocolate Bars

A handcrafted chocolate bar begins on a small farms in the tropical regions near the Equator. Harvesting of the cacao takes place year around by cutting the pods with a machete from the trunk of the tree. Prior to shipping, the farmer ferments the cacao beans to enhance the flavor and finally dries the cacao. After drying, the beans travel to Maribea’s micro-batch chocolate factory in Odessa, Texas, to roast, grind, melange, conch and finally temper to create a handcrafted dark chocolate treat. Each shipment of cacao beans begins a unique origin and story.
